An Award winning restaurant Sicilian Oven has been voted best wood fired pizza by the New Times. Judith Stocks “a well know local food critic” gives Sicilian Oven Four Stars and raving reviews in her write up in the Sun Sentinel. Founded by Ralph Disalvo and Andrew Garavuso in 2008 these two ingenious restaurateurs have created a concept that offers something great for everyone.
With a romantically cozy atmosphere, this team couples the love of a home cooked meal with a sentimental and intimate dinning experience.
A few words from the owners: When interviewing Ralph and Andrew I asked them, what makes your restaurant so unique? Ralph responded, “We wanted to create a menu not only with great recipes but, we wanted people to enjoy many items on the menu without having to order multiple full sized entrées.” Andrew added, “With the new craze of coal fired pizza we wanted to do something different. We did a lot of research looking into the different methods of cooking pizza. Part of our research included different methods used in the old country of Sicily. We discovered that a wood fired oven gives the best result. No black or burnt crust. Also the different types of wood add an amazing flavor. So we did our homework on this one.”
